TOOLE, Utah, Feb. 29, 2008 – Vaughn Gittin Jr. attended the Ford Racing High Performance School at Miller Motorsports Park. This was the first step in getting his SCCA road racing license.
This event also to celebrated the release of the Ford factory built racecar – the Ford FR500S Mustang. Ford shut down its plant in order to produce 75 of these cars during the first production. These specific Mustangs were built for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup Series. This series will be run all over North America containing eight total races. The Ford Racing Mustang Challenge is a spec series, meaning all the cars are built to a certain specification. Vaughn has a great interest to get involved in a series such as this where it is the driver who makes the race, not the amount of money put into the car. Vaughn will be attending his first road race at Miller Motorsports Park April 5-6 where he will driving a Miller Mustang Challenge car in order to get his SCCA road racing licence. |
