Vaughn Gittin Jr. to compete in the 2016 King of the Hammers race
On February 4th, 2016, World Champion drifter and Professional Funhaver, Vaughn Gittin Jr, will participate in the Legends Class of the King of the Hammers race in a Legends Class buggy on Nitto Grappler Tires.
“I am absolutely pumped to race at King of the Hammers,” mentioned Vaughn. “While many people know me through drifting my Ford Mustang RTR, I just love being behind the wheel on, or off-road. Without question this will be one of the most challenging things I have ever endured from behind the wheel. With that said, I have three goals: have as much fun as possible, keep the buggy Nitto Tire side down and finish the race. Finishing the race, however, I know is not going to be an easy feat considering the fact that only about 20% of entrants make it to the finish line.”
Beyond the competition, Vaughn shares his excitement about hanging out with all KOH attendees, “In addition to the fun behind the wheel, I am excited to check out everyone’s builds and hang out with fellow Fun-Havers and enthusiasts that make these events so unique.”
While Vaughn is unfamiliar with the challenging terrain, he is no stranger to the performance of Nitto Tires on and off road. The #4703 Monster Energy Nitto Tire Legends Class buggy Vaughn will be racing is equipped with off-the-shelf 37-inch Nitto Tire Trail Grappler M/T; the same tire available to any enthusiast.
